secrets & glitches

Easy wins as Sophitia
To win battles easily as Sophitia, just always hit triangle. There is a glitch which makes the enemies unable to block her vertical attacks.

Yoshimitsu's Soul Siphon glitch
In Tekken, Yoshimitsu has a move called "Soul Siphon" in which he drains his opponents soul to replenish his health. In SC3, when he uses this move, he replenishes his opponent's health and takes away from his own.

Easy wins as Yoshimitsu
When the match begins, crouch down and perform the Spinning Low Kick. This can be executed by pressing Down + Away while crouching and tapping Kick. Press Kick(5) for a black out. Press Kick only four times, wait for about a second, then repeat the process until the enemy has been defeated. This move is not easily blocked by any of the CPU opponents, and it does a lot amount of damage. If practiced, you can complete the game with a large amount of perfects. This can help immensely with gathering money in Tales Of Souls mode. The move Stone Backhand and Stone Fists are not as effective as Spinning Low Kick because the CPU controlled opponents have a large tendency to block almost any medium to high moves. Note: This move can be blocked later by tougher enemies, but be persistent.

replay CoS with all exp.
Successfully beat Chronicles of the Sword and save the game. The cleared saved game will have a blue unicorn icon next to it. Load it to start a new game with all of your previous experience.

Kos-Mos costume parts
After beating CoS at least once and beating Tales of Souls, the armor shop should have the new Type-X armor. Collect all of the female Type-X armor (including the hairstyle) and your female character should look like Kos-Mos from Xenosaga.

Alternate ending for Kilik
In Kilik's ending, when you need it says to push A+G (square and X), press B+G (triangle and X) instead. Although they'll say the same thing, they'll be in different posistions.

Alternate victory poses
At the end of the battle, press X, circle, triangle or square. A fifth victory pose can be viewed if you get a Perfect or Ring Out, then not pressing any buttons. This can be done if you or your opponent win.
for Xianghua: If Xianghua wins the battle, press down and square at the same time, and she will have an alternate victory pose.

Alternate characters and symbols for Create-A-Soul
When entering a name in Create-A-Soul, selecting letters, numbers, and symbols with X, circle, square, or triangle will have different effects on the character's name. For example, pressing Square will result in a horizontal slash while Triangle will result in a vertical slash. Pressing all four buttons at once will make the letter, number, or symbol drop off.
Censored name
In Name Entry for Create-A-Soul, enter an obscenity ( like sh*t or f*ck) to have it censored out.

easy way to get stuff
In VS. Mode, set the settings to the following:
set battle count to "1"
turn handicap "on"
set number of matches to either "50" or "infinite" (the symbol).
turn handicap on to "0%"
Then keep fighting until you start unlocking stuff.

unlocking weapon disciplines
Do all the stuff mentioned above. Put it on 50 matches. Then have both players choose characters from the same class (Monk, Ninja, etc). Then fight 50 matches and you will have all disciplines for that class (including the "Soul of" disciplines). Do this with every class and you will have all the disciplines in no time.

unlocking items
Play 2,000 matches in VS. Mode (no, not at the same time) to unlock 29 items. 25 of those items are Create-A-Soul parts, 3 of them are special art for the shopkeepers, and the last item is a katana called "Kokuenra". Some of the parts will be Type X armor.

angry shopkeepers
Go to any of the shops and highlight anything you already bought or can't afford. It you try to buy it, it will either say you already have it or can't afford it. If you click X or circle fast enough and enough times, the shopkeeper will get mad. Each has a unique move that they'll do.

bounce shopkeeper's chest (mostly for guys)
Press X on an item you can afford and then press X again to cancel. Their chest will bounce.

easy money
Go to "Hard Workers" in Mission Mode and try to get the fastest time possible. The faster the time, the better the money you'll get.

infinite money glitch
*reserved*

Beating Keres
The only way to damage Keres is with a counter hit (a hit while he is attacking). Since Keres uses a lot of throws, a good method is to use your character's crouching horizontal move. You should deal more damage to him than he does to you. If this does not work, add in evasion and defense but remember that Keres can only be damaged while he is attacking. Also, Keres does not stagger when you hit him.

beating the "Dancing Statue" mission
Select Cervantes for this fight. At the beginning of the fight, back far away from Colossus and press Up + A + K (Square and Circle)  to shoot your pistol upwards. This will damage Colossus from a far distance and he will not be able to hit you with any strong attacks. However, his sword swiping attack has a far enough range to hit you. Since the pistol fires at a rapid rate, you can defeat him with about fourteen shots or less if you have the Soul Edge, or more shots if you are using another weapon. You can do this on the Hard difficulty setting as well, but you must defeat Cassandra with Valkerie and Sophitia with Soul Calibur before fighting Colossus.

characters who use Soul Calibur and Soul Edge against Abyss
Soul Calibur
Xianghua, Kilik, Sophitia, Talim, Siegfried
Soul Edge
Nightmare, Cervantes, Astaroth, Tira

Getting to Night Terror
In any character's Tales of Souls, fight the first battle and win. Then, always pick the first option. When you get to Zasalamel choose "don't pursue him", then pick the first option when the map pops back up. When the option appears to go to the labyrinth, go there. Fight your rival, and when the option icon pops up, choose "go further in". Defeat Unkown Soul, and when you get to the map, the option to either leave or go deeper in will appear. Go in further and you should meet Olcadan. Beat him. You should then go to the Lost Cathedral. Fight Zasalamel, and he should do the usual thing. However, instead of going to the Lost Cathedral Ruins and fighting Abyss, you should be taken to the Chaos Spiritual Realm. Night Terror will appear. Beat him to get his profile, his artwork, the "Final Battle" mission, and the Chaos Spiritual Realm stage.

fighting Night Terror
Fighting Night Terror is like fighting Nightmare, except he's bigger and stronger. Night Terror uses Nightmare's moves, as well as some special attacks. He's also one of the cheapest characters in the game. His attacks are slow, but he's good at pulling off combos. Keep blocking and when he stops, attack. If you see an opening, don't hesitate. He can be thrown, but it's harder to do due to his size. His grab attacks have a longer reach than most moves. Dodge them, because it's nearly impossible to tell which move he's gonna do. He also has some cheap attacks. He cannot be ringed out. If you knock him off the edge, a short cutscene shows him fly back up and the positions are reset. He can fly up in the air and launch an energy attack at you. It cannot be blocked, and can only be dodged by running towards him. While he's in the air, use a move that can hit him in midair to knock him back down. He also has two tremor attacks. In one move, he pulls off a combo and slams Soul Edge Complete into the ground. In the other, he stomps on the ground. Both are unblockable and cannot be dodged. The first one is impossible to stop, but since he has to charge up the second move, you can hit him before he stomps. Also, characters that normally use Soul Calibur or Soul Edge against him won't get them, so beat Tales of Souls normally with that character to get their weapon.
